The University of Washington (UW), one of the world's preeminent universities, invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Vice President for Financial Enterprise Operations.

The Associate Vice President for Financial Enterprise Operations is a senior leadership position responsible for overall leadership for units within UW Finance that provides business services, including tax, procurement, public records/meetings, DATAGroup, records management, and Creative Communications (print/copy/mailing centers/web support) University-wide. Additional units may be assigned to the AVP, including merchant services, payroll, and other enterprise business services units.

This position plays a key leadership role, both within UW Finance and the University of Washington. This position is responsible for building external relationships with regulatory agencies and vendors, along with fostering strong internal relationships and partnerships with University Administrators across three campuses and the UW Medical Centers to ensure enterprise systems and policy management of business services.

The Associate Vice President for Financial Enterprise Operations will have an exciting role in providing both operational expertise and strategic vision for this unit. While leading the work of approximately 180 staff, with varying levels of responsibility/positions, responsible for highly regulated and high-volume activities, in an environment that is ever-changing. While leadership and team management is a significant role for this position there is also Program Development, Management, Administration, and Policy Development.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • A degree in Business, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ten years of progressively responsible leadership and management experience with a demonstrated commitment to developing others to become leaders
  • Experience working in a complex large institution, state government agency, non-profit, or higher education preferred
  • Demonstrated skill and experience promoting diversity, equity and inclusion
