The Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees invites applications and nominations for the fifth president of Florida Gulf Coast University. It is anticipated that the new president will assume office on or about January 1, 2023.
Florida Gulf Coast University’s president will embrace, embody and advocate for the institution’s collective values. The ideal candidate for the position must therefore appreciate the history, culture and spirit of this distinctive institution. An earned doctorate or other terminal degree is strongly preferred for the position. Candidates should have a demonstrated record of successful executive leadership, with credentials and/or experience sufficient to warrant the respect and complete confidence of a wide range of university stakeholders.
Located in the vibrant Fort Myers/Naples area on Florida’s southwest coast, the position provides the opportunity to work with the FGCU Board of Trustees, administration, faculty, staff, students, alumni and community to build on the university’s 25-year history, directing it toward an exciting future.
