Seton Hall University, a nationally ranked, archdiocesan Catholic university committed to academic excellence, invites nominations and applications for a visionary leader to serve as the University’s 22nd President. The 22nd President of Seton Hall will be an ordained Roman Catholic priest in good standing. He will be a servant leader who is knowledgeable, thoughtful and articulate on issues of Catholicism and Catholic identity. The President will blend executive competencies with a pastoral sensibility and possess a deep understanding of the Catholic intellectual tradition and Catholic social teaching in the context of United States higher education. At the same time, he will champion the University’s educational mission, shared governance and academic freedom.

Seton Hall is a financially sound and prudently run institution, with an endowment of approximately $330 million and a budget of $334 million for FY2024. The University has enjoyed robust enrollments in recent years. Seton Hall’s 58-acre main campus in South Orange, N.J. is only 14 miles from Manhattan. The University’s School of Law is located in nearby Newark and the Interprofessional Health Sciences (IHS) campus is situated in Clifton and Nutley.
