The Texas A&M Foundation invites applications and nominations for the position of Senior Vice President for Development. Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Texas A&M Foundation (“Foundation”), the Senior Vice President for Development (“SVP for Development”) is responsible for leading the Foundation’s development enterprise and fundraising strategy to maximize philanthropic support for Texas A&M University, the second largest public university in the U.S., aligned with Texas A&M’s strategic goals and priorities.

The SVP for Development will be charged with building upon the Foundation’s record of success, developing and articulating a compelling vision and actionable plans to achieve even greater fundraising results. The Senior Vice President for Development will be a thought leader, an enabler of talent, a champion of effective development operations, and a driving force behind expanding a culture of philanthropy across campus. They will have a deep understanding of philanthropy and a commitment to the mission and values of both the Texas A&M Foundation and Texas A&M.

Established in 1953, the Texas A&M Foundation is a nonprofit organization that builds a brighter future for Texas A&M University, one relationship at a time. It is the primary academic fundraising entity for Texas A&M and raises gifts to support the University, with a focus on major gift endowments. Foundation team members affiliate with alumni, corporations, foundations, and other supporters to match their charitable passions with opportunities for purposeful philanthropy at Texas A&M. These investments support scholarships, faculty research, student programs, campus traditions, and other Texas A&M priorities.

Founded in 1876 as the state's first public institution of higher learning, Texas A&M today is a leading research-intensive flagship university that is home to more than 69,000 students on its main campus in College Station, TX, along with another 5,200 students at branch campuses in Galveston and Qatar and at the School of Law, Higher Education Center at McAllen, and Health Science Center locations across Texas.
