Arizona State University’s Global Security  Initiative (GSI) seeks an inaugural Center Director – Disinformation  to build a robust research effort focused on developing frameworks, tools, and approaches to combat the spread of false or misleading information for political purposes. The Center Director - Disinformation will, in partnership with GSI leadership and team, set Center strategy, develop interdisciplinary research partnerships inside ASU and with other partner institutions, identify research opportunities, build relationships with federal, industry and non-profit research sponsors, write and submit proposals, and lead/execute large-scale research projects.

The Global Security Initiative is ASU’s interdisciplinary hub for defense and security research and serves as the University’s primary interface with the Department of Defense and other government agencies in the security and defense sectors. GSI is also home to the Center for Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics; the Center for Human, AI, and Robot Teaming; and the Center for Accelerating Operational Efficiency (a Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence).
