Marie Billie joined AGB Search in 2025 and serves as an executive search consultant.
Experience and Honors
Ms. Billie is the former Assistant Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She held this role for over 20 years along with several years as a faculty member in the Department of Criminal Justice. Prior to working in academe, Ms. Billie was a practicing attorney.
During her tenure at the University, Ms. Billie managed all aspects of human resources administration, having responsibility for recruitment and employment, payroll, benefits, classification and compensation, employee development and training, and labor and employee relations She also served as Equity Officer, Title IX Coordinator and Legal Counsel.
Since her retirement in 2018, she has served in interim CHRO positions and as Chief Diversity Officer at two colleges. Throughout her career, she has led numerous successful executive level searches.
