Ohio Northern University has selected Mr. Jason Broge as the next Vice President of Financial Affairs. Mr. Broge is currently the Vice President of Business Services and the CFO at Kirtland Community College in Grayling, Michigan, a position he has held since 2010.  Prior to his work at Kirtland, he held financial positions at Eastern Michigan University, Lourdes University, and Adrian College. Mr. Broge has a BS in Business Administration with an accounting major from Central Michigan University, an MA in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University, and is a CPA. His appointment is effective July 1, 2020.

The University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point has appointed Ms. Pratima Gandhi as its new Chief Financial Officer.  Ms. Gandhi is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Bradley University. Ms. Ghandi’s tenure at Bradley spans 27 years where she provided leadership and operational management for all aspects of the financial, business and facilities functions at the university.  Prior to her experience in higher education, she held finance and audit related positions in the private sector and serves on the boards of directors of various community organizations. She holds a B.S. Accounting from Indiana University – Purdue University at Fort Wayne, Indiana. She will assume her new role on June 1, 2020

Ms. Rochelle D. King has been appointed Financial Aid Director at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC. Most recently Ms. King served at Livingston College as Assistant Director of Financial Aid and prior to that at Shaw University as Financial Aid Director. Ms. King has valuable experience serving Historically Black Colleges and Universities and understands the student population, academic programs, and the relevance of the HBCU experience. She will assume her new role at the University on April 1, 2020.

Dr. Chaney most recently served as the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Graduate Studies at Marian University, having previously served Marian as the Dean of the School of Education.  Prior to her tenure at Marian she served Blackburn College, Carlinville, Illinois, for eight years as a Professor of Education and Education Department Chair.

Dr. William F. “Bill” Tate IV has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost of the University of South Carolina. Dr. Tate is currently Dean of the Graduate School and Vice Provost for Graduate Education at Washington University in St. Louis. At Washington University, Tate has held academic and research appointments including in African and African American studies, American culture studies, Center for Applied Statistics and Computation, Institute for Public Health, social policy, urban studies and education. Prior to joining the faculty at Washington University, he held the William L. and Betty F. Adams Chair at Texas Christian University and spent a decade on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He earned his doctorate in mathematics education with a cognate in human development from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in psychiatric epidemiology from the Washington University School of Medicine, a MAT in mathematical sciences education from the University of Texas at Dallas and a bachelor's degree in economics from Northern Illinois University. Hanover College has selected Dr. Carey Adams as it's new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.  Dr. Adams was most recently the vice president for academic affairs at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, and previously served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Armstrong State University and dean of the College of Arts and Letters at Missouri State University. Dr. Adams earned his doctorate in communications from the University of Kansas, his master’s degree in communications from Baylor University, and his bachelor’s degree from William Jewell College. Radford University has named Dr. Matthew Smith as permanent Dean of the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences effective February 25, 2020.  Dean Smith has served as interim Dean since 2018.  Prior to Dean Smith's interim role, he served as Director and Professor of Communication since joining Radford in 2016. Dean Smith received a bachelor's degree in English from West Liberty State College; a master's degree in English from Ohio University; and a doctorate in Interpersonal Communication from Ohio University. Mount Mercy University’s Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Robert (Bob) Beatty to serve as its 10th president, effective July 1, 2020.  Dr. Beatty has served as the dean of the Soules College of Business and F.M. and Fannie Burke Professor at the University of Texas at Tyler, the dean of the Lutgert College of Business at Florida Gulf Coast University, the dean of the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University, and the dean of the School of Business at Whitworth University. He was a member of the faculty at Northern Illinois University, Texas Christian University, Miami University, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Beatty began his professional career as an officer in the United States Air Force. Dr. Beatty earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Texas Christian University, a Master of Computer Science Management from Creighton University, and a Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. He is a graduate of the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education Program at Harvard University.  Read more here.
