Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Paul Broadie II to become the fifth president of Santa Fe College replacing Dr. Jackson Sasser, who has spent 18 years guiding SF to become a nationally recognized institution. Dr. Broadie currently serves as the President of Housatonic Community College (HCC) and Gateway Community College (GCC) in Connecticut. The dual Presidencies put Broadie at the helm of both the largest and fifth-largest community colleges in the state. He formerly served as the Vice President for Student Services at Orange County Community College in New York for 10 years. Bowie State University in Bowie, MD has announced the appointment of Dr. Lawrence McNeil as its new Dean of the College of Business. Dr. McNeil has been serving as Associate Professor of Economics at Prairie View A&M University. Read more here.


Sarah Lawrence College has annouced the appointment of Ms. Fatiah Touray, Esq. as the new Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Special Assistant to the President. Rider University has annouced the appointment of Mr. Douglas McCrea as its new Associate Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. The chief information officer position has been elevated to a Cabinet position. Mr. McCrea comes to Rider after 19 years at Rutgers University, where he served in various IT roles with increasing responsibility. He most recently served as the Senior Director of Information Technology at the New Brunswick campus, where he provided both IT management and strategy, and orchestrated IT governance and cybersecurity implementation. Mr. McCrea Doug is an IT thought leader, communicator and innovator with the ability to translate technology and concepts.

Clarkson University University has announced the appointment of Mr. Robert A. Cree, currently Vice President and CFO of Wells College, as its new Chief Financial Officer. Through his experience with Wells College and previous financial roles at Ithaca College, Mr. Cree is well versed in the intricacies of the New York State higher education financial environment as well as the national marketplace for colleges and universities. With career roles spanning the banking industry, private sector companies and higher education, Mr. Cree brings a wide range of financial management experience including budgeting and financial planning, policy development and compliance and fund investment. He holds a B.S. Accounting from SUNY Empire State College and an M.B.A from Ithaca College.

Broward College has selected Dr. Marielena DeSanctis as its Provost and SVP for Academic Affairs and Student Services. Dr. DeSanctis has been with Broward College since 4/2014 and has served as its Interim Provost & SVP for Academic Affairs and Student Services since 7/2018. Prior to this post, she has served as President of its Central Campus and Health Science and Public Safety Pathways, Vice President of Student Services and an adjunct instructor. Before joining Broward College, she also served in a variety of positions with the School Board of Broward County, FL. for nine years. In addition, she has been an active committee member and leader of several professional organizations including state President of the Florida Association of School Administrators. As an engineer, she worked nationally in the field of water and wastewater. A native of Florida, DeSanctis has a doctoral degree in educational leadership and administration from Florida Atlantic University, a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
