WASHINGTON, D.C., June 23, 2020 – AGB Search, a national leader in higher education executive search, has announced that Executive Search Consultant Alan Crist, Ph.D., has been appointed interim director of the firm’s Compensation Evaluation Service (CES) division. As interim director of CES, Crist will provide expert guidance to higher education institutions in identifying appropriate compensation packages — based on verified industry data — for new leaders.
Crist has nearly 45 years of diverse leadership experience in higher education, with 11 years as the chief human resources officer for the University of Wisconsin System (UWS). With his work at public two-year, four-year regional, urban, and flagship institutions and university system administration, Crist has a unique perspective on public higher education and the related leadership opportunities and challenges, which makes him a valuable resource to search and screen committees, governing boards, and institutional leadership. Crist also currently serves as senior associate vice president emeritus of the University of Wisconsin System.
