Central Connecticut State University has appointed Stacey Miller to serve as vice president for equity and inclusion. She will begin her new post on February 22 after serving as associate provost for inclusion and retention at Valparaiso University. Read More.

Cornell University has appointed Ian Owens as its executive director and tenure-track professor of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Owens is currently serving as the deputy director for the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Read More.

LeMoyne-Owen College has selected Vernell Bennett-Fairs as its 13th president. Bennett-Fairs has over 25 years of experience in higher education, most recently serving as vice-president of student affairs at Delta State University in Mississippi. Read More.

Linfield University has appointed Joseph Hunter to serve as its next vice president of university advancement. Currently serving as assistant vice chancellor of development at Vanderbilt University, Hunter will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive university advancement programs and serves as one of the five members of the President’s Leadership Team. Morningside College has announced the appointment of Darrel Sandall as the inaugural dean of the School of Business and Continuing Studies. He has been serving as the assistant director at the Center for Innovation Management and Business Analytics (CIMBA) at the Florida Institute of Technology and is a tenured associate professor of management in the Bisk College of Business at the Institute.

Point Park University has announced the appointment of Michael Soto as its new provost and senior vice president of academic affairs. Soto was previously associate vice president for Academic Affairs: Student Academic Issues and Retention at Trinity University in San Antonio. Read More.
