Albizu University has named Nelson Edward Soto as the university’s sixth president. Soto comes to Albizu from Union Institute & University, where he served as the provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. Read more.

Arizona State University has announced the appointment of sociologist Rebecca Sandefur as the new director of the T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics. Sandefur previously taught at the University of Illinois. Read more.

Benedict College has appointed Robert N. Garner as the new dean of the School of Science and Engineering. Garner came to Benedict after serving as chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at University of the Incarnate Word. Read more.

Chicago State University has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Davies as its new dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Davies previously served as the dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of St. Francis.

The International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) has appointed Linda Kligman as its next president after having served as interim president. Kligman previously served as vice president for administration and vice president for advancement at IIRP.

Lincoln University has announced the appointment of Michael J. Self, Sr., as its next provost/vice president for academic affairs. Prior to this position, Self served as the assistant provost and dean of graduate studies at Metropolitan State University. Read more.

Louisiana State University has selected Todd S. Manuel as vice president of inclusion, civil rights & Title IX, effective September 1. Manuel currently serves as vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion transformation at Edison Electric Institute. Read more.

The Maricopa County Community Colleges District has announced the appointment of Janice Falkenberg as its new general counsel, to begin August 22. Falkenberg serves as vice president and general counsel at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). Read more.

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs has appointed Justin Howe as its new associate director of gift planning. Howe currently serves as senior coordinator of clinical experiences and partnerships at Metropolitan State University.

The University of Colorado System has announced the appointment of Jason Sprinkle as the new executive director of gift planning and gift administration, to begin August 16. Sprinkle currently serves at the University of Texas at Austin as director of gift and estate planning.
