Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) has announced the appointment of Ms. Janice Falkenberg, J.D., as General Counsel beginning August 22, 2022. Ms. Falkenberg brings 25 years of legal experience to the District, with her last 18 years at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), the largest technical college in Wisconsin. She currently serves as the institution’s Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to MATC, Ms. Falkenberg was a law firm partner in private practice representing employers in labor and employment law. Earlier, she served as Vice President, Human Resources for Sysco Food Services, Eastern Wisconsin. Ms. Falkenberg earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota, majoring in Political Science and History, and her Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN.
