Dean of Library

Mr. Evan Boyd has been appointed as dean of the Library at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.  He will begin August 1, 2022. Mr. Boyd is Library Director and Archivist for United Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia, PA. He manages library collections and services, the institutional archives, a significant rare book collection of 16th century imprints, and a regional archive. Mr. Boyd holds an MLIS from Dominican University and an MA in Religion, with additional graduate studies in Gender & Women's Studies. Read more here.

Vice President for Research and Economic Development

Dr. Nancy Glenn was selected as the Vice President for Research and Economic Development at Boise State University and will begin her new role July 1st, 2022.  Dr. Glenn is currently serving as Boise State's Interim Vice President for Research and Economic Development and is a professor in the Department of Geosciences within the College of Arts and Sciences. Her research has been funded through grants from NASA, National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and U.S. Department of Interior. Dr. Glenn earned her bachelor’s degree in geological engineering from University of Nevada, Reno, her master’s degree in civil engineering from UC Berkeley, and her Ph.D. in geo-engineering from University of Nevada, Reno. Chief Audit Officer

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has named Amy Jorgenson to serve as Chief Audit Officer. The appointment becomes effective June 22, 2022. Since 2020, Ms. Jorgenson has served Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) as the director of the COVID-19 Response Accountability Office. Previous appointments include serving as the director of internal audit and analytics for the Minnesota Department of Health, serving the Office of the Legislative Auditor as auditor, team lead, and audit manager, and various positions with the Minnesota Department of Revenue. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Read more here.

Chancellor

Dr. Jennifer L. Mnookin, Dean of the School of Law and Ralph and Shirley Shapiro Professor of Law at the University of California, Los Angeles, has been named Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Mnookin has been dean of the UCLA School of Law since August 2015.

President

The Cuyahoga Community College Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of Dr. Michael A. Baston as Tri-C's fifth President. Dr. Baston currently serves as President of Rockland Community College, where he has led numerous initiatives to spur growth and increase educational pathways. Among many other professional honors and activities, Dr. Baston is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges Board of Directors, chairing its Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Iona College, a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, and an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher College. Read more here.

Vice Chancellor for Business, Finance and Business Development

The University of Nebraska Medical Center has appointed Ms. Anne Barnes as Vice Chancellor for Business, Finance and Business Development. She will begin her new role on June 1, 2022. Ms. Barnes is currently the Senior Associate Dean for Administration and Finance at the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, and has served as the principal business officer for the College of Medicine. More recently, she served as the chief administrative officer for OU Physicians, the physician faculty practice plan. Ms. Barnes established her career at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, joining in 1996 as an Assistant Dean for Finance before advancing to Associate Dean position and then, in 2012, into her current role. Ms. Barnes received her B.B.A. from Oklahoma Baptist University and M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University. A certified public accountant, she serves on the planning committee for the Association of Academic Health Centers Senior Administrators/Fiscal Offices and is a past national chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges Group on Business Affairs. Vice President, Economic and Workforce Development and Career Technical Education

Monroe Community College has announced the appointment of Dr. Robin Cole Jr. as the Vice President, Economic and Workforce Development and Career Technical Education. Dr. Cole currently serves as the Dean of Business and Technologies at Southwest Tennessee Community College in Bartlett, Tennessee. His diverse career in the field of higher education includes overseeing both for credit and non-credit programs. He has established internships and grant training programs focused on rapid re-employment of IT professionals and has experience with building industry and community partnerships including dual enrollment pathways within K-12 school districts. Dr. Cole earned his Doctorate of Science in Information Systems & Communications in, his Master of Science in Communications & Information Systems, and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Robert Morris University (PA).

Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

The University of Nebraska at Kearney has announced the appointment of Dr. Kristen Majocha as Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs beginning July 1, 2022. Dr. Majocha currently serves as Dean of Education and Liberal Arts and the Dean of Social Sciences and Human Services at California University of Pennsylvania.  Previously, she served as the Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown, as well as the Director of International Program Support and Services in Student Affairs. She is the current editor of the Iowa Journal of Communication. Dr. Majocha earned a Ph.D. in rhetoric and a Master’s in communication from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.  She is a veteran of the US Navy.  Read more here.

Director of Gift Planning/Philanthropic Advisor

The University of Colorado has announced the appointment of Ms. Jamie Mager as Director of Gift Planning/Philanthropic Advisor for the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. She will begin on May 17, 2022. Ms. Mager will join the University from her current role as Senior Director of Estate and Gift Planning for the American Cancer Society. Earlier, she held other roles with the American Cancer Society and served as a Certified Financial Planner with The Planned Approach. Ms. Mager received the 2020 Paul Jonas Emerging Leadership Award from the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable and was the American Cancer Society's 2017 National Winner for Exemplary Mission Delivery. She received her B.S. from Kansas State University. 

Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost

University of South Carolina has appointed Dr. Donna K. Arnett as its new Executive VPAA and Provost. Dr. Arnett currently serves as the University of Kentucky’s Dean of the College of Public Health. She will begin her new position at USC on Aug. 1, 2022. Prior to joining Kentucky, Arnett was associate dean and chair of the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and is a past president of the American Heart Association. Dr. Arnett earned a nursing degree from University of South Florida, a master’s in epidemiology and biostatistics from South Florida, and a doctorate in epidemiology from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.  Read more here.
