The Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Ivan Harrell as the 11th President of Tacoma Community College. Dr. Harrell is currently the Executive Vice President of Academic & Student Affairs at Georgia Piedmont Technical College.

The Board of Governors of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education today unanimously selected Dr. William J. Behre, provost of Georgian Court University, to be the next president of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, effective July 1.

The Suffolk University Board of Trustees has elected Dr. Marisa Kelly to be the 11th president of the University. Dr. Kelly has been serving as the Acting President of the University since 2016.

The Edmonds Community College Board of Trustees voted to offer Dr. Amit Singh the role of the next president, effective June 25, 2018. With more than 20 years experience in higher education, Dr. Singh currently serves as the provost and senior vice president of academic affairs at Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio.

The Carroll College Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of John Cech, Ph.D. as the 18th president of the college. Dr. Cech currently serves as Deputy Commissioner of Higher Education for the Montana University System, where he is responsible for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs for the State.

Hartford Seminary’s Board of Trustees named Dr. Joel N. Lohr as the Seminary’s next president. On July 16, he will succeed Dr. Heidi Hadsell, who is retiring after leading the Seminary for 18 years.

The Union Institute & University’s Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Karen Schuster Webb as the university’s sixth president. Dr. Webb succeeds Dr. Roger H. Sublett, who is retiring after serving Union as president since April 2003, effective July 1, 2018. Dr. Webb brings more than 20 years of executive leadership and an impressive career in higher education, most recently as the Midwest campus president and senior advisor for Academic Innovation to the Chancellor at the Antioch University System.

Dr. Lorraine Sterritt, a national leader in higher education with experience at some of America’s finest institutions, has been named the 17th president of Saint Michael's College in Vermont. Dr. Sterritt will be the first woman to hold the position in the College’s history. Read more here

The Board of Trustees of Gammon Theological Seminary is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Dr. Ken J. Walden as the new President-Dean, effective January 1, 2018. Dr. Walden comes to Gammon from Hood Theological Seminary where he has served as the Director of the Center for Chaplaincy, Director of Supervised Ministry, and Associate Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling. The board of trustees at Wiley College announced that Dr. Herman J. Felton Jr. is appointed as the next president to lead their college. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Felton was the president of Wilberforce University. Read more here
