
Dr. Lisa M. Victoravich has been appointed as Dean of the College of Business and Economics at the University of Idaho. She will begin her role on June 26, 2023. Dr. Victoravich comes from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver where she has been Associate Dean for Faculty and Research since 2020. In her time there, she has provided leadership to 110 full-time faculty regarding teaching excellence, research productivity, and business community engagement. Dr. Victoravich holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from Florida State University.

Dr. Judy Alston has been appointed as the new chair of Miami University’s Department of Educational Leadership. Before coming to Miami, Dr. Alston served as Chair of the Department of Leadership Studies at Ashland University and most recently as Director of their Doctoral Program in Leadership Studies. Dr. Alston earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Winthrop College, a Master of Education in both Secondary Education and Educational Administration at the University of South Carolina, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration at Pennsylvania State University. Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences has announced the appointment of Dr. Wayne Miller as its new Provost. He is currently serving as the Dean of the College of Science at Morehead State University. Dr. Miller has extensive administrative experience in health science programs which include serving as Director of the Center for Rural and Community Health at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and Department Chair at the George Washington University Medical Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University, an M.S. in Exercise Physiology from Utah State University, and a B.A. in Physical Education/Math from Southern Utah State College. Colorado State University has named Mr. Derek Dictson as its next Vice President for University Advancement and will join the university on May 1, 2023. Mr. Dictson currently serves as Vice President of Advancement for New Mexico State University and President of the NMSU Foundation. Prior to joining New Mexico State, he served as Chief Development Officer and Senior Director of Engineering Development at Auburn University and Senior Director of Development for the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, where he also served as Business Unit Manager for the Texas A&M Galveston campus, the Texas A&M Law School, and the George Bush School of Government and Public Service. Earlier in his career, he held management positions in the private and nonprofit sectors and earned his master’s degree in public service and administration from Texas A&M and his bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and economics from New Mexico State University. The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has selected Dr. John Pelesko to serve as its next provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. Dr. Pelesko, currently the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Delaware (UD), will start on August 1, 2023. He brings rich experience to the role, having served as a professor, department chair, associate dean, interim dean and dean at UD, where he has worked since 2002. In four years as dean, he led UD’s largest and most diverse college, with 8,000 students and an annual budget of about $150 million. During that period, the college developed new and innovative academic programs that led to new revenue and resource opportunities and enabled Delaware to invest in faculty and build an environment that encourages increased research grant activity. Sponsored expenditures in the College of Arts and Sciences have grown by more than 31% during his tenure. Before UD, Pelesko taught mathematics at Georgia Institute of Technology and computing and mathematical sciences at California Institute of Technology. Clarkson College has announced the appointment of Dr. Andreia Nebel as its new president. Dr. Nebel first joined Clarkson College in 2003 as an adjunct instructor and then served as the Director of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program from 2007-2015. In 2015, Nebel was appointed the role as the Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA), and continued to teach in the PTA program, now at the rank of Associate Professor. Dr. Nebel has received multiple awards for her dedication and contributions to higher education and healthcare but is most grateful for the contributions she has made in serving students, the Leadership Council, the College Board of Directors, the faculty/staff, and the surrounding Clarkson community. Dr. Nebel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Development from Montana State University-Bozeman and two doctorates from Creighton University; one clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy and an educational doctorate (Ed.D.) in Interdisciplinary Leadership.
