Carroll University has appointed Mr. Paul Zinck as its next Vice President for Finance and Administration. Mr. Zinck joins Carroll with extensive experience in higher education finance. Most recently, he served as Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at St. Louis Community College, and previously held roles at McKendree University and Washington University. His experience demonstrates strong strategic leadership, fiscal management and knowledge of higher education. Prior to working in higher education, he completed a 20-year distinguished military career in the U.S. Army. Mr. Zinck attended McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill., where he received both his Bachelor and his Master of Business Administration. Read more here.

Northampton Community College has appointed Dr. David Ruth as its fifth President. Dr. Ruth has served as the Vice President and Chief of Staff at Northampton Community College for the past six years and will begin his new role on July 1, 2022. Dr. Ruth is a senior leader with over 25 years of progressively responsible experience as an executive Higher Education professional. As the current Vice President and Chief of Staff, Ruth has served as the Chief Advisor and counsel to the President. Prior to Northampton, Dr. Ruth served as the Dean of Students (Chief Student Affairs Officer) at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ruth holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Learning Technologies from Drexel University and a Master of Arts in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Lehigh University. Mr. Pazik was most recently the Chief of Operations and Development for The Counter, and also spent time as the Development Liaison in the Office of the President at Long Island University. He holds an MS from Columbia University.

Benedict College has appointed Dr. Akilah Carter-Francique as the new Dean of Education, Health and Human Services. Dr. Carter-Francique joins Benedict College from San Jose State University (SJSU) where she has served the past 3 years as the Executive Director for the Institute for the Study of Sport, Society and Social Change. In addition to her role as Executive Director, she also served as an Associate Professor in the Department of African American Studies where she supported course development inclusive of SJSU’s Ethnic Studies Collaborative and its General Education curriculum. Dr. Carter-Francique earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Science and Psychology at the University of Houston and her doctorate in Sport Studies at the University of Georgia at Athens.  Read more here.

Dr. Jess Boronico has been appointed as the new dean for the School of Business at Southern Connecticut State University. Dr. Boronico has compiled an extensive and outstanding record of academic business leadership positions at a variety of schools including NYIT, the University of New Haven, William Paterson University, and Monmouth University. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research and Management Science from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MS and BS in Mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. The University of Colorado System has announced the appointment of Ms. Lindsay Cameron as Director of Gift Planning for CU Boulder. Ms. Cameron will assume the Director of Gift Planning role after having served as the Associate Director of Gift Planning for CU Boulder since September, 2020. Prior to joining CU, she served as Director of Gift Planning for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, where she created and led the organization's first comprehensive planned giving program. She received her B.S. in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech University.

Mr. Ericke Cage, J.D., has been appointed as the new President of West Virginia State University. Mr. Cage has been serving in this interim role since September 2021.  Prior to joining WVSU, Cage most recently served as executive advisor to the president and Board of Visitors at Norfolk State University. Mr. Cage is a graduate of Virginia Tech and the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and holds a juris doctorate from the Rutgers University Law School. He holds a masters of law degree in litigation and dispute resolution from the George Washington University Law School. He is also a graduate of the United States Air Force’s Air Command and Staff College and the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership. Read more here.
