Position Details

Fairleigh Dickinson University invites applications for the position of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. This senior leadership position has responsibility for all legal affairs and oversight of compliance matters for FDU, while also serving as Secretary of the Board of Trustees. Reporting directly to President Christopher A. Capuano and working closely with his cabinet, the General Counsel will be a partner in implementing the strategic vision and direction of the University. The successful candidate will be a seasoned higher education lawyer with at least 10 years of experience working collaboratively as a member of a leadership team.

FDU is a distinctive multi-campus global university serving approximately 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students on two northern New Jersey campuses and campuses in Vancouver, BC, and Wroxton, Oxfordshire, England. The University has grown not only in the geographic spread of its campuses but also through aggressive expansion of academic programs from certificate through doctoral level.
