The Board of Trustees and Lewis University community invite nominations and applications for a visionary and entrepreneurial servant leader to serve as the University’s next President.

A modern, enterprising, Catholic university with a growing student enrollment from GED through doctoral-level programs, Lewis is known for preparing graduates who impact the world for the better. Over the last decade, Lewis has built a strong record of success – expanding academic offerings, advancing student achievement, and strengthening its Catholic and Lasallian identity. As the community looks ahead, Lewis stands at a pivotal moment: committed to honoring its heritage while also shaping its future.

Founded in 1932, Lewis University is recognized as one of the finest, mid-sized, comprehensive Catholic universities in the country. The main campus is situated on 410 beautiful acres in Romeoville, Illinois, just 35 miles southwest of Chicago. Additional sites are located in downtown Chicago at St. Augustine’s College, Oak Brook, IL, and Albuquerque, NM.

The next President will be called to lead with vision, ensuring that Lewis continues to thrive in an increasingly complex higher education landscape while remaining rooted in the Lasallian values of faith, service, and community. The President must inspire faculty, staff, students, and alumni to pursue excellence in academics, research, and student life while fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion.

To assure full consideration, applications should be received by Thursday, December 4, 2025, and must include the following:

  • A letter of interest addressing the strategic opportunities and qualifications identified in the position profile;
  • A curriculum vitae; and
  • A list of five professional references with email addresses and telephone numbers, including their relationship to the candidate. References will not be contacted without prior authorization from the candidate.
