The Winthrop University Vice President for Finance and Business/CFO search has appointed Justin Oates as the new vice president for Winthrop University's Division for Finance and business, effective mid-February 2018. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Oates served as assistant vice president for financial planning, budgeting, and analysis at the Stevens Institute of Technology. Read more about his appointment here

The Iowa Board of Regents has appointed Dr. Wendy Wintersteen as the new president of Iowa State University, effective November 20, 2017. Prior to Dr. Wintersteen's appointment, she was the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University. Read more about the successful appointment here

The Fairmont State University Board of Governors announces Dr. Mirta M. Martin as president-elect of the university, effective January 1, 2018. Dr. Martin has more than 30 years of experience in higher education, banking, advisory and consulting. Read more here

The University of South Alabama has appointed Stephanie McGilvray as the Chair and Program Director of Physician Assistant Studies of the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions.

The Montana University System Board of Regents has selected Seth Bodnar as the next President of the University of Montana, effective January 1, 2018. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Bodnar is a senior executive at General Electric. Prior to his work at General Electric, he had a distinguished career in the military, serving in the 101st Airborne Division and the U.S. Army's First Special Forces Group. As a member of the Army's elite Green Berets, he commanded a Special Forces detachment on multiple deployments around the world and later served as a special assistant to the commanding general in Iraq. For more information about the appointment, please see the announcement on the University of Montana website here
