The Board of Governors of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education today unanimously selected Dr. William J. Behre, provost of Georgian Court University, to be the next president of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, effective July 1.

Dr. Wayne B. Powell took office as interim dean for the Arkansas Tech University College of Engineering and Applied Sciences on Wednesday, Nov. 1. He will provide short-term leadership for the college while ATU simultaneously conducts a search for a permanent dean. Learn more.

The Edmonds Community College Board of Trustees voted to offer Dr. Amit Singh the role of the next president, effective June 25, 2018. With more than 20 years experience in higher education, Dr. Singh currently serves as the provost and senior vice president of academic affairs at Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio.

The Central Connecticut State University provost search has concluded with the hiring of Dr. David Dauwalder, effective March 16, 2018. Dr. Dauwalder currently is the interim dean of the Eberhardt School of Business at the University of the Pacific.

The Winthrop University Vice President for Finance and Business/CFO search has appointed Justin Oates as the new vice president for Winthrop University's Division for Finance and business, effective mid-February 2018. The Iowa Board of Regents has appointed Dr. Wendy Wintersteen as the new president of Iowa State University, effective November 20, 2017. The University of South Alabama has appointed Stephanie McGilvray as the Chair and Program Director of Physician Assistant Studies of the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied Health Professions.

The Montana University System Board of Regents has selected Seth Bodnar as the next President of the University of Montana, effective January 1, 2018. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Bodnar is a senior executive at General Electric. Prior to his work at General Electric, he had a distinguished career in the military, serving in the 101st Airborne Division and the U.S. Army's First Special Forces Group.
