Provost & Chief Academic Officer

The Siena University community seeks an innovative, experienced, and student-centered Provost & Chief Academic Officer. Working in close collaboration with President Charles Seifert and Siena’s dedicated faculty and staff, the Provost & CAO will lead Siena to its next level of academic rigor, strategic programmatic and enrollment growth, and continued student success in the context of its mission and core values.

Siena University, located just outside Albany, New York, is a Franciscan and Catholic four-year, private, coeducational liberal arts institution. A thriving institution with over 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students, Siena’s approximately 233 full-time and 107 part-time faculty provide an education that is rigorous, personal, and hands-on. • An earned terminal degree and a record of scholarship, teaching, and service commensurate with appointment at the rank of tenured full professor;
• Progressively responsible senior academic leadership experience, with a comprehensive understanding of liberal arts institutions.
• A record of academic programmatic growth, particularly with developing graduate/professional programs at a traditionally undergraduate institution.
• A commitment to collaboration, collegiality, shared governance, faculty development, and supporting both full-time and adjunct faculty and staff.
• Valuing and actively engaging with Siena’s Franciscan, Catholic mission, core values, and intellectual tradition.
