Chief Financial Officer

The University of Central Florida Foundation has selected Mr. Glen W. Dawes as its Chief Financial Officer.  Mr. Dawes has most recently served as the Vice President of Finance and CFO of the Memorial Herman Health Plan – Memorial Hermann Health System in Texas. Mr. Dawes is a University of Central Florida alumnus and accomplished finance executive with more than 12 years of experience in 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the healthcare and financial industries.  A licensed CPA, Mr. Dawes holds a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science, Finance from The University of Central Florida. 

Chief Financial Officer

Seminole State College of Florida has selected Mr. Joseph Mazur III as their next Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Mazur currently serves as Vice President of Administration and Finance at the College of Central Florida in Ocala, FL. He formerly served as Dean of Finance and Controller at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL. Mr. Mazur is a CPA who holds a Masters in Computer Information Systems from Florida Gulf Coast University and a B.S. in both Accounting and Finance from Florida State University.

President

Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Paul Broadie II to become the fifth president of Santa Fe College replacing Dr. Jackson Sasser, who has spent 18 years guiding SF to become a nationally recognized institution. Dr. Broadie currently serves as the President of Housatonic Community College (HCC) and Gateway Community College (GCC) in Connecticut. The dual Presidencies put Broadie at the helm of both the largest and fifth-largest community colleges in the state. He formerly served as the Vice President for Student Services at Orange County Community College in New York for 10 years. Dr. Broadie holds a Ph.D. from Colorado State University, an M.B.A. from Long Island University, and a B.S. in Business Administration from Mercy College. Read more here.

Dean of the College of Business

Bowie State University in Bowie, MD has announced the appointment of Dr. Lawrence McNeil as its new Dean of the College of Business. Dr. McNeil has been serving as Associate Professor of Economics at Prairie View A&M University. Read more here.

 

Provost/Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Services

Broward College has selected Dr. Marielena DeSanctis as its Provost and SVP for Academic Affairs and Student Services.  Dr. DeSanctis has been with Broward College since 4/2014 and has served as its Interim Provost & SVP for Academic Affairs and Student Services since 7/2018. Prior to this post, she has served as President of its Central Campus and Health Science and Public Safety Pathways, Vice President of Student Services and an adjunct instructor. Before joining Broward College, she also served in a variety of positions with the School Board of Broward County, FL. for nine years. In addition, she has been an active committee member and leader of several professional organizations including state President of the Florida Association of School Administrators. As an engineer, she worked nationally in the field of water and wastewater. A native of Florida, DeSanctis has a doctoral degree in educational leadership and administration from Florida Atlantic University, a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Nova Southeastern University, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Director of the Fashion School

Kent State University has appointed Dr. Louise Valentine as the new Director of the Fashion School. With approximately 20 years of experience with diverse institutions, Dr. Valentine is currently Professor and Chair of Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee (Scotland), where she has served since 2004. In addition, as Vice President of the European Academy of Design (EAD), she recently chaired the 13th EAD conference. Author of numerous publications about design, creativity and business, Dr. Valentine holds Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Design degrees from the University of Dundee and a Bachelor of Arts in textiles from Heriot-Watt University (Scotland).

Vice President of Student Affairs

Seminole State College has selected Dr. Johnny Craig, II as its next Vice President of Student Affairs. Dr. Craig comes to SSC after serving as Vice-President of Student Services and Enrollment Management for Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) Milwaukee, WI. He holds a JD from Florida State University, a Masters in Education from Georgia State University and a BS in both Economics and Agri-Business from Florida A&M University.

 

Assistant Vice Chancellor – Enrollment Management

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has selected Dr. Agnieszka Hanni as its next Assistant Vice Chancellor – Enrollment Management. She will assume her responsibilities no later than August 30. Dr. Hanni comes to UWO after serving as Assistant Director of Enrollment at National Louis University, Wheeling, IL. She holds a PhD in Community Psychology and a Masters in Psychology, both from National Louis University. Her BA in Psychology is from Elmhurst College. 

Vice President for Administration and Finance

Midwestern State University - Texas has announced the appointment of Dr. Beth Reissenweber as Vice President of Finance and Administration effective August 15.  Dr. Reissenweber comes to MSU after serving as Vice President for Finance and Administration at Augsburg University and as Vice President for Finance and Treasurer at Aurora University.  She has also progressed through positions of increasing responsibility at Roosevelt University.  Her PhD in Educational Studies is from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, her MBA from Indiana University, and she holds the BS in Business Administration from Elmhurst College. 

Director of the School of Music

The Hugh A. Glauser School of Music and the College of the Arts at Kent State University have announced the appointment of Dr. Kent McWilliams as the next Director of the School of Music. Currently, Dr. McWilliams serves as a Professor of Music and Associate Dean of Fine Arts at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.  An accomplished, award-winning pianist and educator, Dr. McWilliams, D.M.A., holds music performance degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of Montreal as well as an Artist Diploma from the Stuttgart Musikhochschule.
